Last years pageant was a blast, the production number was phenomenal , the swimsuit competition was ecstatic (of course with Lady Gaga's special role) , not to mention Crystie Stewart's (Miss USA) break and fall moment!. Nothing but more!,more.! More! to expect ! and for sure this year we hope, would be more exciting. Why not? The Miss U will be hosted by the Bahamas. The pageant will be held in the Atlantis Paradise Island .One of the most spectacular resort-hotel and casino in the world.

The reigning Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela, will relinquish her crown to her successor at the end of this event, so don't forget to Watch Miss Universe 2009 Online Streaming here on Kralix. Again, the most coveted title will be participated by more than 80 countries, territories and independent states will compete. The pageant will broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo the South Am. broadcast network.

I'm pretty sure that the Miss U phenomena has also shared the betting game. As for the Philippines " manok" the Miss U Representative is Pamela Bianca Manalo form Metro Manila, she was Binibining Pilipinas 2009 - Universe. Pamela Bianca is the sister of the Miss World 2002 finalist Katherine Ann Manalo. During the Bb. Pilipinas 2009 pageant she won awards including the Best in Swimsuit and some sponsors awards like Miss Natasha, Miss Philippine Airlines and Manila Bulletin Reader's Choice Award. We really expect a lot from her.

And as to my very own favorite country Venezuela the would be crown chaser is Stefanía Fernández a native from Merida,Venezuela. Fernández won the Miss Venezuela 2008 title in a pageant held in Caracas, Venezuela on September 10, 2008. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Dayana Mendoza, Miss Venezuela 2007 and Miss Universe 2008. Fernández also won the "Miss Elegance", "Best Body" and "Best Face", titles

As of date there are seventy countries, territories and independent states who have been registered and has pre-qualified for the pageant. Although there are certain countries that don't send annual delegates. This year's returning countries are :

Romania last competed in 1998. Iceland, Northern Marianas and Sweden competed in 2006. Bulgaria, Guyana, Lebanon and Zambia last competed in 2007.

Trivia: Did you know that the Miss Universe is not just about "beauty and charm" ?

Yes! In fact the pageant was created by business tycoon Donald Trump for several advocacies like increasing HIV/AIDS awareness by focusing on women's health and reproductive issues. By forging relationships with organizations committed to research and education such as the Latino Commission on AIDS, God's Love We Deliver, PSI/YouthAIDS and Gay Men's Health Crisis.
